If there's one thing almost as inspiring as our kitchen, it's our location. Hidden away in the foothills of the Trossachs, we're no more than a trout leap from Lake Menteith, right at the heart of some of Scotland's finest scenery. Yet we're only an hour away from Edinburgh, Glasgow and their associated airports, both serving all major airlines, including British Airways, BMI, Easy Jet, British European and Ryan Air. Short-break cooking escapes couldn't be easier.
Make sure you pack your boots - the bens and glens all around us are hiking heaven. There are countless fantastic walks nearby, from a simple stroll to full-on, boots and britches hillwalks up the likes of Ben Lomond, which gazes down upon us from across the lake.
If you, or your non-cooking partner fancy fishing while you're here, the lake of Menteith Fisheries are right on our door step. Kept well stocked with rainbow and brown trout, the fisheries season runs from March to October.
