Nick will be hosting another “Evening with Nick Nairn” at the Doubletree by Hilton Dunblane Hydro on Friday 19th March. As the name suggests, Nick will take centre stage throughout the night, entertaining guests in the Strathallen suite with a cookery demonstration of some of the Kailyard restaurant’s finest dishes.
Guests will enjoy 3 course dinner with a glass of wine to match each course. We had great feedback from the previous evening back in November and Nick is very much looking forward to another opportunity to enjoy great food & company in splendid surroundings.
Prices start at £75pp for demonstration and dinner and from £130pp including an overnight stay and full Scottish breakfast. more info
If you’re looking for the perfect gift or maybe just adding to your culinary collection the following products might be just what you’re looking for. When it comes to ice cream, we’re an impatient lot which is why we recommend the Zyliss Ice Cream Scoop (£10). It’s strong enough to make quick work of even the most solid tub of delicious ice cream. Our Mortar and Pestle (£16.50) might not be the most high-tech item in our selection but there’s something to be said for a product that’s over 3000 years old and hasn’t aged a day! What’s in a name? When it comes to our Blinis Pan (£10), the answer is not much. Of course it’ll make perfect blinis but this little cast iron gem is also perfect for rostis, pancakes and even perfectly shaped fried eggs. If you’re looking to add a little flavour to your life you can’t go wrong with our CrushGrind Salt and Pepper Mills (£25 each). The manufacturer quite modestly calls them “the world’s best mills” and we’d be inclined to agree.
