..on holiday. The school kitchens will be closed from 30th June – 16th July, as we’re all off on our summer hols. We’ve packed our suncream, our flip flops and checked the restaurant reviews on Tripadvisor & it would seem everything is in place.
We’re switching on our e-voucher facility, which will allow urgent voucher purchasers to receive a lovely –e-voucher to print out and bookings will all be confirmed by e-mail. Thanks to the wonders of modern technology, equipment orders will be despatched during the closedown too. If you are planning a booking or buying from the cook shop please take a few seconds to read over these rather important points:
• Orders will be dispatched weekdays on a 3 day service.
• E-vouchers – available 30th-16th July. For urgent last-minute-I-fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants gift voucher purchasers, you can select an e-voucher at checkout and get a lovely print quality pdf voucher to print out and hand over. Hard copy vouchers will be dispatched on a standard 3 day service.
• The cook shop will be closed, so please don’t factor us into your weekend outing. If you do forget, the Lake Hotel offers a rather smashing lunch.
We’ll be back, relaxed and sporting a few extra freckles on the 17th July
Happy holidays!
This month we are loving the Magimix 5200 XL (bling gold finishes optional), which will definitely going be a long term friend in the kitchen. 3 different size bowls to take you from small quantities to batch cooking, wide funnel (great for dauphinoise fans) and a myriad of blades and discs to see you through any task. Our FORVM cabernet sauvignon vinegar is flying out the shop doors - once it's part of your storecupboard, things just wouldn't be the same without it. A must in gravies, sauces, dressings and casseroles, however unless you have the constitution of a vinegar loving ox, don't be tempted to drink it! As part of our Magimix love in, we have to have the n'espresso machine back in the list again. We continue to marvel at it's "crema" every time coffee (sad, but true..) and still debate over our favourite capsule type. A must for coffee lovers everywhere. Last, but not least it's the squeezy bottle. Light, lovely and lends itself to artistic drizzling. It's Alan's secret weapon in making tiny blinis (top tip!) and you can get 2 for a fiver. Whoop whoop! Click on a product for more info>
