Ready Steady Cook first sizzled onto our screens in 1994, when its fresh approach to cooking on a budget demonstrated that cheap, speedy food can also be tasty and healthy.
Nick has been a resident chef since the first series. Since then the series has gone from strength to strength and remains one of the BBCs most popular cookery programmes. Armed with a bag of mystery ingredients (and no, the chefs really don’t know what’s in the bag), two guests challenge the resident chefs to whip up a meal in 20 minutes flat. With great energy and excitement the two chefs, heading the red tomato and green pepper teams, create delicious dishes against the clock, with only the odd mishap here and there…
If you are interested in being a guest on the show, visit the Ready Steady Cook website, where you’ll also find a full archive of all the recipes cooked over the years.
I'm always out and about, whether filming, doing cookery demostrations or appearances. Have a look at forthcoming events below - perhaps I'll even see you there!

Christmas cooking at Ocean Terminal, 12th - 13th December
