Entirely self-taught in the kitchen, Nick is a passionate champion of fresh Scottish ingredients. When not busy filming Ready Steady Cook, he writes newspaper columns and cookbooks, some of them (Wild Harvest, Wild Harvest 2, and Island Harvest) accompanying his BBC TV series of the same name. His book, Top 100 Salmon recipes, was a bestseller, staying in the top five for two months, and he’s currently working on 2 new books - keep an eye out here for more details.
As he’s writing a lot right now, most of his time is spent at the cook school. Between catching snippets of John and Alan's classes plus welcoming some of his favourite chefs, he finds the school a truly inspiring place to be. We’re particularly delighted with his range of classes, the New Scottish Cookery series. There are five classes in the series, which will be repeated throughout the year. They tend to fill early, so do book ahead.
